Florilegio
Ensemble was created in Varese, Italy in 1995.
The ensemble has given concerts in various cities and
music festivals such as: Palazzo Branda Castiglioni di Castiglione Olona, Sacro
Monte di Varese, the Monastery of Santa Maria Assunta in Cairate, the Church of
Santa Maria Foris Portas in Castelseprio, the hermitage of S.Caterina del Sasso,
Torba monastery (VA), Parco Villa Kursaal in Verbania, Castello Aragonese in
Ischia, Naples, the festival “Oltrepò Medievale”, International Festival

Cortese" in the historical centers of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region,
Piazza Duomo in Milano, festival “Notturni a Villa Simonetta” in Milano, the
Concert Season of the ’ISU in Milano, Ticino Festival 2001, International
Festival of European Medieval Drama in Camerino, Macerata,
"Musik
am Rhein" in Basel, Switzerland.
Florilegio participated in the 1998, 1999 e 2000 seasons of festival, “Aliamusica”, performing in the various sacred stopping places along the medieval
pilgrim route called the Via Francigena. In 1998 e 2000 the group performed in
“Musica nei castelli di Liguria” (music in the castles
of Liguria) and in 2002 took part in the festival, "Il Canto delle
Pietre" (The song of the stones). In 1997 Florilegio performed under the
auspices of department of Early Music of the Civic Music School of Milan at the ’Historisches
Rathaus in Freiburg im Breisgau , Germany.
